Outstanding! Great straightforward video that saved me $215.00 at the garage. Thanks Larry!
You don't have to remove the fender liner or go through the top of the engine bay. The foglights pop out from the front of the bumper. You just pop the little silver trim ring that goes around them off with a flathead as it's just held in with a few pressure clips and then there is one T25 screw that holds the lamp in after you remove that the lamp just comes right out. Replace the bulb, pop it in and screw it in then just replace trim piece and you're done. Takes less than 5 minutes to do both and you don't have to wait for the engine to cool down or scrape your hands up.
Beautiful sound! Do you remember the model of your Vibrant muffler?

Do you have the link for where you bought this turbo? Highly interested in grabbing one for myself
@@Dmax.Brodi69 this is the link to this turbo. www.stainlessdiesel.com/index.php?route=product/product&product_id=1045 they recommend this one for towing. For daily driving they recommend the 63mm version.
Do all spark plugs need to be removed when doing a compression test? Nothing in the cylinders at all except the one that is being tested?
Yes all should be removed so that the other cylinders not being tested don't impact results.
Honestly this was so helpful! Thank you so much
Swabs are not good to use. Better is a fluorescent light test or one of those guns. Light and spray is like 50 but the guns are like several thousand? Wouldn’t trust the swabs as they react to pretty much everything acidic.
Perfect to do when installing new lines, Thanks!
I have an Evo-One im installing it was for a Toyota but i flashed it to Ford, i have notfound a harness so i used some soldering and wire taps but i never finished because i wasnt sure if i could use the Ford factory FOB ? Or if i need to purchase the FORTIN FOB, are you using your cars fob or did you buy a Fortin fob? I knoww this is an older post but hoping you still read the input Thank you for the video and the info.

What size 9 blade
@@cordaleharrison8359 this is Stainless Diesel's 61/62
Beware the 9 blade turbines have serious problems with blowing the tips off the turbine blades
@@100pyatt what causes that to happen
Probably would depend on who it’s made by
@@LarryFopps lesser blade turbines are considered "High pressure" turbines and the sound is part of the effect. Because the tips are exposed to much higher local pressures they're more prone to be blown off. We had it happen twice before going backwards to the 10 blade to make it live
Can you just leave them there or do you need to soak them and prepare for when rain is coming ?
I just leave them there. The sun dries them back out so they lay flat, and if they aren't dried out, there's no issue driving right over them if you use the garage to keep a car in.
I m curious, did anyone complain about the loud turbo?
@@justmarcin8555 no complaints but it got a stock exhaust before anyone could. I complained most. I did get comments ahead of complaints.

Thank You. Got one of these after owner passed and called shops to get it repaired. Local shops claimed they can't get the carb. Word is the china knock-offs work for a minute and are garbage so I ordered this one. I figured if I get a working generator for the price of the carb ($118.) I did good.

Very thorough and helpful !
Appreciate the video question for you since you seem to know more than anyone I’ve found on here. 1 how are your head light flickering like that. Two I’m trying to install a led hood light strip I’ve done it on my Nissan but this is way harder one not sure which spot to tap into in the fuse box and two I can’t figure out where to find the turn signal wires?!! Nissan it was right there this is all LED lighting and I can do some stuff but you seem like a mechanic any advice would be extremely helpful!
The lights aren't actually flickering. That's simply how the camera picks up the led lights. In terms of a tap, depends on what you want that to come on with. Guessing drl's? And the wiring, I'm not sure, I've never removed one of the headlight assemblies on this to get to the wiring.
I thought it was the camera but I wasn’t sure….yea I want to add a hood light strip which I can do but the turn signal part I love and want to wire but I can’t figure out where that wire would be cause this headlight doesn’t seem to have a normal light bulb for the turn signal
?
look at past videos of mine on this topic
What brand turbo you got?
Stainless Diesel
I know this video is 2 or so years old buy I just found it because I had the same problem with my trimmer. I also couldn't find a cam gear so I filled the inside of the cam gear with JB weld and let it set up for about 5 minutes as I cleaned the shaft to remove any oils and set the timing on the engine. I pushed the cam gear on and gave it 24 hours to set up. It started right up and works like a charm. Just a little hack for those like me who can't afford to buy Stihl products. 🥰
Mine is not coming off
someone maybe glued it on, pull harder, it will come off.
@@LarryFopps actually my meighbour saved the day, thank you however, i went to a parts store and they sell it only with the motor itself. For everyone else, i cleaned it using a needle, water and blowing, took me 2 hours, i was even soaking it in different kind of detergents. But hey it was worth it.
@@korisnik4888 2 hours? Should take 10 minutes.
@@LarryFopps Yep, did not find the right wqy to do it, tried it a few times and it didnt work, than i put the 2 nozzels in my mouth and blew as hard as i could, couldnt believe how much of the gunk came out. Than a little bit of washing, needle next, wash, try and it worked
I used to think this sounded cool when I was in middle school, now as an adult and low mileage lbz owner, I’m so glad my truck has 0 mods
Yup my other truck is bone stock, bought off the original owner. I prefer it. I've put the stock exhaust back on and that quieted it down tremendously, but I prefer the stock turbo and will be reverting this to stock in my ownership.
This is exactly the same on a Cupra or Seat Leon. Thanks for the video.
The way you say "radiator" has me questioning accents and pronunciations. Where are you from? Canada?

Thanks buddy
Multiple failures for me. 1) My coil went dead. Took a week or two to get a replacement. Worked but 2) Gas lines had oxidized to the point where they had cracks that leak air. Bought new lines and a carb, just in case. 3) When Taking the motor down, the centrifugal clutch came out in pieces so another wait for a replacement part. Ran for an hour then it 4) jumped timing with a gear failure similar to the one in your vid. Another user had a timing belt self destruct. I'm going to go the JB Weld route and see if I can set valve timing good'nuff to get one last season out of it. I've never run it on anything but 50:1 2-stroke fuel hoping that would help keep it lubed enough to keep from grenading, that didn't get it done. It's a shame it wasn't made with better materials and design. Not bad when it is running but keeping it running is a trick.
They're absolute trash. Didn't bother fixing this one.
